Southern Hobby Supply is dedicated to providing the best website experience possible for our customers. We are ever adapting new features and changes to our website and listen to all of our customer feedback. Below details the updates that have happened to our website since launching our new website in December of 2017. SEPTEMBER 18, 2018 RELEASE/ORDER DUE DATE PRODUCT NOTIFICATIONS!

 

We have added a feature to the website called the Product Notifications Center. With this feature you can select Product Categories/Manufactures that they would like to be alerted about when a release date/Orders Due Date is coming up.

You will select a number of days before the release/order due date that you would like to be notified about and when that date range hits for products inside the categories a notification will be created and added to their Notification center in the top right of the website.

The notifications created will stay in your notification center with the days updating for 2 weeks and then be purged.

SEPTEMBER 10, 2018 PRESELL PRODUCT COMPARISON PAGE!

 
We have added a special page to view Presell Product Comparisons. This page will show products we have tied together as similar products/previous years release and will show you what you previously purchased of the related product and what you currently have on presell for the new product. The dedicated page is on the My Account Page under the My Orders section or can be accessed by clicking here.

While on a Presell product page that has been tied to a related product or previous years release you will also be shown the quantity you purchased of this product.


Note: The list of relatable products will continue to grow over time while more new presell products are annouced. 



SEPTEMBER 6, 2018 PRODUCT PURCHASING HISTORY PAGE!

We have added a special page to view your Product Purchasing History. This page will show all products you have purchased and the net quantity and net price you have spent on the products. The dedicated page is on the My Account Page under the My Orders section or can be accessed by clicking here.
This quantity will also display on the specific product page to let you know the total quantity you have purchased.

*Please note these net quanties and prices are from January 2017 till present. These values are your total amount purchased during this time and not specifically what you ordered last time of the product.

 

JULY 20, 2018 SET DEFAULT SORT AND SHOW ONLY AVAILABLE PRODUCTS CHECKBOX!

You now have the ability to set a default sort order to load on every page such as Release Date, Order Due Date, Price, Item ID, etc. You can also now set if you want the Show Only Available Products to default as checked on every page.
These Account Defaults are set in the My Account - Edit Profile page in the bottom left section. You can also Click Here to access this page.
 

JUNE 26, 2018 BARGAIN BUYS!

Keep an eye out for the Bargain Buy flags on the product images in both a search result page or product page! We have marked products we feel have a great price as Bargain Buy products and this is labeled by the flag in the images. You can also choose to show only Bargain Buy Items with the dropdown box on any category or search result page.
 
 

JUNE 21, 2018 WAREHOUSE PRODUCT AVALABLITY!

If a product is Out of Stock in your default warehouse but is available in another Southern Hobby warehouse you will now have the visibility to see what is available in the other warehouses on specific Product pages. If you are interested in purchasing the product then you can contact your sales rep to order the product from the secondary warehouse. 
 

 

JUNE 6, 2018 NOTIFY ME IMPORTS!

We have added the ability for customer to import a list of products from a spreadsheet or enter multiple products at once that they would like to add to their Notify Me/Wishlist. This feature is located on the My Account page under the My Tools section on the left sidebar or can be accessed by clicking here
 



JUNE 1, 2018 NOTIFICATIONS!

We have added a Notification feature which will display notifications for things such as an item from your Notify Me Wishlist coming back in stock or if your account is currently past your set terms. Additional functionally will be added to the Notifications in the future. 

 

 

MAY 17, 2018 VIEW BACKORDERS!

You can now see if you have any products on backorder on all search result and product listing pages.
 



MAY 16, 2018 ADD TO EXISTING ORDERS!

You now have the ability to add web orders to existing open orders in our system!

At checkout, if you have an open order in our system then a blue dropdown box will display above the Submit Order button displaying the order # and the contents of this order in our system will display in the bottom part of the screen. You have the option to choose any of your open orders to submit onto or to Create a New Order.

 


MAY 1, 2018 DOWNLOADABLE PRODUCT LISTING!

You can now download an CSV file of all our product listed on the website. This feature is located on the My Account Page under Tools.

This file contains basic information like Product Name, Item ID, Sell Price, List Price, Release Date, Orders Due Date and UPC.

 
 

APRIL 26, 2018 OPEN ORDER VISIBILITY!

You now have the ability to see if you have products on an open order when you are on a search result page or product listing page. These numbers will display as On Open Order: ##.
 

APRIL 20, 2018 MY PRE-ORDERS UPDATES!

On The My Pre-Orders Page, there are additional columns added such as List Price, Release Date and Orders Due Date.

You also have the ability to now export their Pre-Orders into an excel spreadsheet. 

 

APRIL 11, 2018 IMPORT ORDERS FROM SPREADSHEET!

   You can now import an order into
   your shopping cart from an excel
   spreadsheet template. The feature
   can be accessed on the top
   header bar or left sidebar and is called Express Order/Import Order. You must download the Template provided and enter their Product ID/UPC code and quantities into this template.

If the product code entered on the spreadsheet is incorrect it will not import the code into the cart and if the quantity imported is higher then what is available then it will alert them in the shopping cart.


APRIL 9, 2018 DOWNLOADABLE PRODUCT AVAILABILITY!

You can now download a Product Availability Spreadsheet for all warehouses when logged into an account on the website.

It is in 2 places on the My Account Page as well: in the Tools area on the left sidebar of the homepage.

 


MARCH 22, 2018 OPEN INVOICES REPORT!

On The My Account Page, there is now an Open Invoice section that shows your open invoices with Amount PaidAmount DueRunning Balance and Due Date Columns.

Customers can check the order information by clicking on the invoice number.
 

FEBRUARY 14, 2018 ONLY AVAILABLE PRODUCTS FILTER!

You can now filter to show “only available products” on ALL category pages and any search result page on the website.

All category pages default sort by release date newest to oldest.
